Mr. Dickerson has more than 35 years of experience in directing a large number of Federal contracts, the majority of which have been related to Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) agencies. He is an accomplished manager who has led projects involving a full range of logistical support, information collection and analysis, materials development, surveys and reporting, program and policy evaluations and analyses, technical assistance, information center management, outreach, dissemination, and prevention services for a variety of Government clients in the health arena.
Ms. Cooney has more than 15 years of management experience in information synthesis and knowledge transfer, gained through the successful direction of Federal Government contracts for the health sector. Agencies for whom she either has directed or monitored contracts include NCI; a subcontract with the American Institutes for Research (AIR) for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); NIAIDs Division of AIDS (DAIDS) and Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID), as well as NIAIDs Office of Workforce Effectiveness and Resources (OWER); the National Library of Medicine (NLM); and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Before joining Cygnus, Ms. Cooney served as the assistant supervisor and bench technologist at the Washington Hospital Center Microbiology Laboratory. Ms. Cooney earned her M.S. in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and a degree in medical technology M.T. (ASCP) from the Washington Hospital Center School of Medical Technology. She also has been awarded a certification as a specialist in microbiology (SM).
Dr. Wong is Director of Program Assessment and Research at Cygnus. He has more than 25 years of experience managing research and evaluation programs and serving as principal investigator on Federally funded research grants. He possesses demonstrated skills in a wide range of research approachesprogram evaluation, needs assessments, statistical analysis, and health communication studies. He is an accomplished program developer, manager, and consultant who has worked extensively with national and international government agencies, universities, and nonprofit organizations. His primary expertise is in public health research, HIV/AIDS prevention, substance abuse prevention and treatment, education and training, and health disparities. Dr. Wong has published in domestic and international peer-reviewed scientific journals. He received his Ph.D. in applied sociology and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
