Tobacco Control Monographs, NCI, NIH

Producing and disseminating monographs.

Cygnus supported the editorial production of 6 National Cancer Institute (NCI) tobacco control monographs, published by the NCI Tobacco Control Center, to reduce the time between availability of information emanating from research projects, publication, and widely disseminating the information.

Each monograph is about 200 pages with 10–12 individually written chapters developed and produced through the following activities:

Copyediting each chapter; incorporating editorial changes; maintaining each reference in a database and verifying the source data; verifying each quote in the monograph; proofreading all drafts, and including layout.

Monograph 20: Phenotypes and Endophenotypes Foundations for Genetic Studies of Nicotine Use and Dependence

Monograph 19: The Role of the Media in Promoting and Reducing Tobacco Use

Monograph 18: Greater Than the Sum: Systems Thinking in Tobacco Control

Monograph 17: Evaluating ASSIST A Blueprint for Understanding State-level Tobacco Control

Monograph 16: ASSIST Shaping the Future of Tobacco Prevention and Control
